Produce up to 45% more work with 20% less sand with this heavy-duty industrial grade sand blast kit. It will remove coatings from almost any surface, such as metal, heavy graffiti accumulations, and paint preparation.

A sandblasting setup usually consists of three different parts: The abrasive itself, an air compressor, and a blaster nozzle. For light to medium duty sand blasting capable of removing most coatings down to white metal, graffiti clean up, paint surface preparation, etc. Experimentation with various grades of sand and pressure and flow settings will determine best performance.

As a cleaning method, it is often used for priming a surface for the application of paint or a sealant. When painting, one doesn’t want to trap dust, dirt, or bubbles in a previous layer of paint, or other imperfections under the new layer. By launching small bits of abrasive at the surface at a high speed, all imperfections are knocked loose and can then be easily washed off, creating an incredibly smooth surface upon which to lay the new layer of paint. Sandblasting may also be used for such projects as cleaning the hulls of ships or large structures such as the Golden Gate Bridge.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Install male pipe thread into the outlet of trigger gun. If using Teflon tape as a sealant, make sure to get no tape inside the pipe, as it may clog the high-pressure water nozzle.
2. Insert the probe into bag, bucket, or pile of sand. Make certain sand does not cover the opposite end of the shorter tube. This is a breather tube and performance will be affected dramatically if this tube is obstructed.
3. Turn adjustment knob fully clockwise for maximum sand flow.

Sandblasting is a general term used to describe the act of propelling very fine bits of material at high-velocity to clean a surface. Though sand is most commonly used, any small, relatively uniform particles will work, such as steel grit, copper slag, walnut shells, powdered abrasives, even bits of coconut shell. Due to the dangers of inhaling dust during the process, sandblasting is carefully controlled, using an alternate air supply, protective wear, and proper ventilation.
Best if operated at 4 GPM @ 3,000 PSI to 8 GPM @ 5,000 PSI, this sand blast kit includes a 20 inch lance, 19.5 inch sand probe, ¼ inch MPT nozzle size 5.0, a sand flow regulator valve, and carbide tips 25 feet of ¾ inch sand hose.
